Meet Our Doctors
Our eye doctors have been providing exceptional medical care to our patients in a caring, compassionate environment for over 18 years. They provide a full range of opthomological care from eye exams to cataract care to glasses and contact lenses. Drs. Bounds, Scott and Taylor are Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. All are licensed to practice in Tennessee. Their goal is to continue to provide exceptional medical care to their patients in a caring, compassionate environment.
Dr. Frank Scott
Dr. Frank Scott is a native of Greeneville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology. In 1988, he came to Nashville and attended Vanderbilt Medical School. After an internal medicine internship at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center serving as chief resident during his final year.
In 1996, he joined the Nashville Vision Associates. Dr. Scott served as Division Head for Ophthalmology at St. Thomas Hospital for many years. He spends much of his time outside of work with his wife and 3 children. They enjoy spending time participating in many outdoor activities as well as a variety of the arts.
Dr. Rebecca J. Taylor
Dr. Rebecca J. Taylor is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. She attended the University of Mississippi followed by the University of Colorado, where she earned a bachelor degree. She received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
After an internship in internal medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Taylor completed her ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She remained on the faculty at Vanderbilt’s Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences as an instructor.
Dr. Taylor joined Nashville Vision Associates in 2002. She enjoys time with her family and friends, running, swimming, and cycling.
Dr. Inez Bounds
Dr. Inez Bounds is a native of Jonesborough, Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for three years and then completed her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences.
In the fall of 1982, she started medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. After an internal medicine internship at Methodist Hospital, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year.
In 1991, she started her career as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in private practice in Nashville, Tennessee. In January 2015, Dr. Bounds joined Nashville Vision Associates. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and lake activities with her family and friends.
